This post seems legit because the main theme of the communications is training and/or certification, not whether Afrezza will succeed or not. If authentic, it does show some urgency which is obviously a good thing:

Not true. Lot on the line with a launch and the REMS for Afrezza. Certification isn't a check the box for this launch it is to make sure we are ready. People this is it for Sanofi Diabetes - we're either successful with Afrezza and Toujeo or we're done. It is a great product and using a certification to be ready is just part of being prepared. If you don't perform during certification just means you didn't prepare and you need to re-do right after the launch. The company is required to document the certification. It should be that way - if you were a patient and knew your doc was depending on a sales rep to know how to use Afrezza would you want that rep to be held to a high standard?

Here's another from a thread started by a poster asking questions about accepting a position as a rep an SNY. This particular response is interesting because of the reference to Afrezza and demonstrates the importance of insurance treatment, at least in the eyes of this rep. Again, it seems inherently authentic, given the context.

FYI. .. the last time someone I know went to a different division was 3 years ago. This person went to surgical which was a debacle. Count on staying in Gen meds for at least 4 years. Genzyme hires for Genzyme not Sanofi.

If they hire you for "Gen meds" plan on staying there for a long while. Make sure to mention your aspirations on the interview to see if you are being realistic. But you risk being ejected before the end of the interview. The dms are gen med lifers.

They are confident the 2 insulins coming up will be winners but at tier 3 it's going to be hard esp if you are competing with a $7 billion product like Lantus.

Only those lucky to have good formulary in their geography will make bank.

ps in.my region if you hit 102% of quota you are a star. Very few make $30k.

I've been following postings on Cafepharma this week to see what comments might come out of the Vegas sales meeting regarding Afrezza. One reference to sales starting Monday, but of course that might be someone other than a Sanofi employee posting. Overall, not much news. From the postings one would think Sanofi is a three ring circus. I'm hoping the reality is different than the impression from anonymous board posters there. Also glad I'm with a startup company.

Back in the day I was with a pretty large company that was interested in what its employees thought, so they set up an anonymous board where anything could go. It ended up resembling what CP is today, what is seemingly an inordinate amount of people complaining and bashing the company. Then one day IT traced the posts and reported it to upper management. I happened to be in on those meetings. As it turned out, most of the company had very good suggestions, but ONE poster had taken on the persona of multiple people, and from every persona he did nothing but bash and flame everything and anything.

Dont assume that because you hear about 10 people posting on CafePharma that SNY is the worst company on the planet, because its highly likely its a very small, but very larged mouth few that are running their mouths... And in the case of CP, its just as easy for a competitor to log in, bash the company, and "act" like a current disgruntled.

Thought I'd copy one comment that seems from a real sales rep. I take it as a positive that sales people are being pushed a bit. The sales people likely are still skeptical about Afrezza. The fact they are being pushed a bit beyond comfort zone would seem to be clear indication of Sanofi not soft peddling on Afrezza.

my problem is that i am in one of those territories that they "think" can be a lead in driving sales numbers for Afrezza and hence honored with a "challenging" goal. As always idiotic manager must not have raise any concern in the hope of becoming a shining star and now will burn his ass along with my bonus

For what it is worth (and I'm not sure it is much)... someone posted on Cafepharma asking about rep sales goals for Afrezza. Here is the most recent post. Given that it isn't clear whether this is good or bad, I tend to believe it could be real. Wonder if this means that sales reps will be visiting all general practice physicians in their territory and expected to get each to write 3 prescriptions on average over some time period (the quarter?).

Anyone know how many GP physicians there are in U.S.? However, maybe the targets are just endos.

Good to know they don't expect dead doctors to write prescriptions... maybe it isn't real... Baba are you posting over there?

Also they did tell you that you would be able to remove target who are dead, moved or retired. Again, it's a sales job and likely not everyone will hit their goals. One average you need to get 3 Rx per target. There will be challenges, but if it was easy then why would they need you?

Seems there are 200+ thousand primary care docs in U.S. Seems a target of averaging 3 prescriptions per, and subtracting some in anticipation that not all sales reps will hit target, we come within the ballpark of the capacity of the first 3 fill lines.

Crucial missing detail would be over what time period that is the target. Well, that missing detail and whether I'm falling for a bogus post.

My source is there are 100k prescribers in the us writing scripts for other RAAs. Question is whether that goes up significantly with afrezza
